A non-judgmental space to nevigate expact life, relationships, and your path forward.
Welcome! Finding the right therapist is a crucial first step. I'm Niki, and I offer confidential psychotherapy services in English, Chinese and conversational German, avaliable both online and in Vienna practice.
I practice in the official legal status of:
Psychotherapeutin in Fachausbildung unter Lehrsupervision
(Psychotherapist in specialist training under instructional supervision).
My Education & Training:
Academic Foundation: Sigmund Freud Private University (SFU), Vienna.
Specialization: Integrative Gestalt Therapy at IGWien (Institut für Integrative Gestalttherapie Wien).
Experience: Over ten years of continuous work in psychotherapy education, training, and clinical practice
Expressive arts integration: Combining art, movement, and music to explore emotions beyond words.
I was born in Hong Kong and moved to Vienna in 2017. Being an expat myself, I deeply understand the challenges and emotional landscape that accompany starting a life in a new culture, navigating different identities, and searching for a sense of belonging.
My professional perspective is also deeply informed by my personal journey. Growing up as a child with Academic difficulties, including ADHD and reading disorder, taught me that everyone has their own rhythm, challenges, and unique strengths for learning and understanding the world. In therapy, we work to honor this individuality.
My background includes psychosocial support work in diverse settings, such as homeless shelters (Caritas) and refugee programs (Red Cross). Furthermore, my academic research focused on 'Death & Dying' and 'The End-of-Life Care,' experiences that shape my capacity to work with profound loss and grief.
My approach is based on Gestalt Psychotherapy, a humanistic and relational method that focuses on awareness, presence, and relationship. I see therapy as a genuine meeting between you and me, a space where you can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.
The healing space I offer is non-judgmental, where every part of you is welcome. I believe that sustainable change happens through awareness and acceptance, when you begin to see and accept yourself as you are, the conditions for growth emerge.
In our sessions, we will explore:
How you experience yourself and others in the present moment.
How you feel in your body (body awareness).
What is happening in your thoughts and emotions.
To facilitate expression when words fall short, I often incorporate creative and body-oriented methods like art, music, dance, and movement into our sessions. These methods can help you gently express what has been difficult to articulate and discover new perspectives of yourself.
I support individuals dealing with a broad spectrum of life challenges, including:
Stress and Burnout
Anxiety
Relationship and Family Challenges
Grief and Loss
Cross-Cultural Adjustment and Identity Struggles
Academic difficulties (e.g., related to ADHD and learning differences)
Self-Exploration and Personal Growth
My role is to walk beside you, listen attentively, and support you in finding your own path forward with more clarity, compassion, and strength.
Finding a therapist that feels like a good fit is the most important step. I offer a free 15-minute introductory call so we can discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have about my approach and fees.
